Intramurals

Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible to participate in the Intramural program at Moore Square Museums Magnet Middle, each student must meet basic academic and attendance requirements. The student must be passing Math and Language Arts and either Science or Social Studies. In addition, the student must be passing at least 1 of his/her 2 elective classes. Each student can have no more than 3 unexcused absences per 9 weeks. We will evaluate the student’s eligibility at interim time and the end of each 9 weeks.

Each student must also meet behavioral standards. A student will not be eligible to participate during the next day of intramurals if he/she is assigned in team suspension or after school detention. A student will lose his/her eligibility for the remainder of the season if he/she is given an out of school suspension. The student will be eligible for the next season.

Intramural Times and Activities
All activities will run from 2:35 until 4:25. Students are to be in the gymnasium by 2:35. Activity busses will be available to take students to satellite bus stops. If a student is going to be picked up at school, his/her ride must be here by 4:30pm. Car pool pick up for intramurals will be in car pool drive. Being picked up late 2 times per season will make the student ineligible to participate in intramurals for the remainder of that season. The seasons are listed on the reverse side.

Additional Information
Permission and insurance forms are valid for one school year. These forms will, therefore, only need to be turned in once for the entire year.

Students are expected to behave during the day and in intramurals in a manner that meets Moore Square behavior expectations.
